My ice pop fiasco with Julia at school

OMG!! You will NOT believe what happened what happened to me last,last week! (BTW, sorry for the late posts guys, a lot has been happening lately) Okay, here’s what happened…

It was dismissal time at school. I didn’t have any money. My friend Julia asked me, “Do you have money?” and I replied, “No.”. Later, Teacher Princess said something but I didn’t hear her. Julia also said something, but I couldn’t hear her OR Teacher Princess. But I heard Julia say, “money”. Then she asked me if I wanted to go to the canteen for an ice pop. Since she offered, naturally I thought she was going to libre me and I happily accepted.We asked Teacher Princess if we could go to the canteen, and she said yes. After arriving in the canteen, we immediately ordered a grape ice pop. We split it and after we both had taken several licks, the vendor extended her hand out for the payment. In unison, me and Julia stared at each other and said, “Go ahead, you pay.”. Our eyes went wide as we realized nobody had any money to settle the bill of ten pesos. We looked at each other, our eyeballs wide, in unison, and said, “I THOUGHT YOU HAD MONEY!!”. Meanwhile, the vendor did not look happy. Thinking fast, I said, “Utang nalang po, Ate!” Julia caught my idea and stared saying it too. A few minutes later, the vendor had asked for our names and elementary section. Then she finally agreed.

I told my mom and dad what happened, and guess what? They thought the whole thing was hilarious. So my mom gave me five pesos. My dad also gave me a twenty. When I went to school next morning, Julia also had five pesos. Then we realized we both had some leftover change. You know what we did?

We bought another ice pop, and ten seconds later it was just like old days.

OMG! I really thought I wasn’t gonna get out of that one, so thank you God for utang!

What I’m going to do for Halloween!

OMG! Who would have thought that the months would go by so quickly?!

It’s already Halloween, you know what that means right? CANDY!!!! So anyway, tomorrow at school we are going to trick-or-treat in the high school sections!And I’m PSYCHED for it. Everybody is going to be in costumes! I’m going to be a witch. ( Speaking of which, I heard many OTHER classmates are going to be witches, too.) PLUS, on October 30, me, my mom, my tita, and my cute baby cousin are going to be trick-or-treating at S&R.

I will wear my black Forever 21 dress with the flowing green fabric. Since the dress is kind of short, I’ll also wear black tights and black flat shoes. I really hope the candy I get will be delicious! Or at least that I get a few pieces of fun-size Snickers, Butterfingers or Kit-Kat.

SO EXCITED FOR TOMORROW!!

 

I’m really excited for tomorrow! Why? Becuz it’s our school Xmas party PLUS the last day of school. I really love Xmas! It’s like having a second b’day AND a mini vacation, rolled in one! And it’s NOT just because I get to open super-cool gifts, I also get to see family, like Tata, Lola Wah and etc.! I already have a gift for Mom and Dad! I got Mom the novel of Rio, our movie, and Dad the novel of Toy Story 3 (Is it just me, or do these movies suddenly give u a childhood memory?Thought so!) because that’s our movie. But Mom, Dad, if ur reading this now, can u just pretend to be surprised on the 25th or AT LEAST forget I said anything. Anyway, I told them what I wanted for Xmas was just 2 books, really: Dork Diaries All About Me Diary and Thea Stilton The Secret of The Fairies. But what I REALLY want for Xmas is… drumroll please…. no, it’s not Furby Boom!… it’s not notebooks or My-Gel pens either… it’s,

A FRIEND WHO’S GENEROUS, SUPPORTS ME NO MATTER HOW CRAZY MY IDEAS ARE, SOMEONE WHO GETS MY JOKES, SOMMEONE WHO IS HONEST WITH ME NO MATTER WHAT, SOMEONE WHO IS GOOD AT LISTENING BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY: A FRIEND WHO STANDS UP FOR ME AND FOR OTHERS.

I wish someone could give that to me, becuz believe it or not, only five people gave me that: Mom, Dad, Ellie, Julia and Ella. But Mom, Dad, give me those books still please!

I’m so lucky!!

Hi again! I’m so lucky! Why? Because my tita is Angel Aquino, one of the most FAMOUS ACTRESSES  in the world! She visited today, and we had a LOT of catching up to do. Today fixed all that! Tita Angel and Mama discussed about VUL, and after that we went to Pancake House. The waiters\waitresses were SUPERsweet. We all had a blast! I even made a toast. Despicable Me 2 saturday movie date with my family!!

I’m so excited for my movie date! Oops. I nearly forgot to tell you my name. My name is Sofia Mariano. Thank you for reading my blog! Okay, so back to the movie date. You know the movie Despicable Me? Well, now there’s a sequel, and we’re going to watch it this very Saturday! Here’s picture of me and my family together below:So that’s my family. I don’t know if Mama is coming, because every time I ask her, this is what happens:

“Mama, are you going to watch Despicable Me 2 with us?”

“No, Sopya.” and then the next time I as her, she says yes. Confusing, isn’t it? Anyway, I can tell from just the trailers this movie is gonna be a fave, just like Monsters University. Plus, there activities if you watch the movie, and these are the activities:

1. Make Your Own T-Shirt

2. Make Your Own Goggles (minion-inspired) and

3. Photo Souvenirs. So those three are a bonus. Here’s a funny quote from the trailer:

My Second Day of School Was A Blast!

I’m studying at Maria Montessori for second grade. Though my first day of school was just okay, my second day of school was fun. I prayed last night to the Lord that Teacher Alona would be a little not strict, that I would be early tomorrow and that I’d have fun. Turns out, I picked the perfect,perfect, perfect night. I got up a little cranky, but it hadn’t even started yet. The perfection began at recess. Yesterday, Teacher Alona transferred tables. I was originally at Table 1, but now I’m at Table 4. So, anyway, there was a chatty girl who was almost my age. So today, while we ate, we chatted.Her name was Gabby. We talked about the things we could do tomorrow (there’s no school tomorrow because it’s Independence Day) and Ice Age 3: Dawn of The Dinosaurs. I had no idea she was a fan like me! I told her that my favorite character was Sid because he was so funny. Gabby told me that her favorite character was Peaches. She liked Peaches because she was so cute (she says). Then we started imitating the funny scenes from the movie. And get this: Teacher Alona WASN’T mad at us!! I can hardly believe that! I mean, on the first day of school, she was practically a strict teacher. So Dada WAS right! “You can’t judge things by only the first day,” he said. “Give her a chance!” And I did. School was SO fun!
